Zell am See-Kaprun is about 1.5 hours by car from the city of Salzburg. We are about 2.5 hours by car from Munich. From both cities main traffic routes and motorways bring you to the region Zell am See-Kaprun. Coming from Salzburg you have the choice. Either you choose the route via the Tauernautobahn through the Salzach Valley or you take the route via the so-called "Deutsche Eck". The journey via the motorway is further, but a little more comfortable. The "Deutsche Eck" is more impressive. To travel via the motorway, you will need to purchase an Austrian motorway vignette. If you are coming from the southern parts of the country, the Tauern Autobahn also takes you to our region. Coming from the east it is the A1 Westautobahn. From the north, the German Autobahn A9 from Munich will take you across the border and in the direction of Zell am See-Kaprun. From the west, coming from the city of Innsbruck, you first take the A12 Inntalautobahn, which you leave at Wörgl. From there, you will reach the beautiful mountainous landscape of Tyrol via federal roads and finally reach the beautiful province of Salzburg.
