Our lake is the centre of the region, especially in summer. While swimming, sailing and surfing you can explore the region from the water. From nowhere you can enjoy better views of nature and the mountains than from the middle of the lake. In summer you can enjoy a great time in the lidos of Zell am See, Thumersbach and Schüttdorf. From there you set off on boat trips, sailing trips or swimming in the lake. Private, motorized boats are not allowed at the Zeller See, so we preserve its drinking water quality.
A summer holiday in Zell am See not only inspires all nature lovers and families, but also sporty active people. The sensational location of this attractive Salzburg holiday resort opens up numerous opportunities to explore the mountains, glacier and lake. And jumping into the cool water is simply part of a hot summer day.
Three lidos and the crystal-clear water of the Zeller See invite you to swim, sail, water ski, stand-up paddling, pedal boat and of course to relax.
The chilly bathing place Erlberg "Haus Gabi" also offers attractive leisure activities and a varied gastronomy. Address: Seeuferstraße 186, 5700 Zell am See.
Swimming in one of the purest swimming lakes in Europe with drinking water quality. In our 3 lido's Zell am See, Thumersbach and Seespitz you will find a heated swimming pool as well as different equipment and attractions depending on the pool:
Thumersbach is located exactly on the opposite side of the lake to the town of Zell am See. Also at this point of the Zell am See an inviting beach bath or better "natural bath" is waiting for its guests. The area is embedded in a lovely park and thus provides for relaxing hours at the Zeller See. Parasailing and boccia are two popular attractions at the Thumersbach beach pool. The boat rental and the water ski school complete the offer. However, the natural swimming pool Thumersbach is especially popular with connoisseurs, sun worshippers and guests who look forward to long hours of sunshine. Culinary delights are provided by the Beach Club Thumersbach, which is connected to the lido, where you can enjoy cool drinks and tasty specialities from the region and from all over the world in a particularly chilly atmosphere!
If Zell am See and Thumersbach are ahead in terms of beach resorts, then the Seespitz in Schüttdorf is not far away either. The southern shore of the lake presents itself to its guests with many hours of sunshine and a wide range of leisure activities for young and old. The Schüttdorf lido offers a wonderfully large sunbathing lawn with many cosy corners. The lake shows itself from its particularly pure side and provides real drinking water quality. Swimmers and water sports enthusiasts meet at the Seespitz. Not only the many thousands of triathletes, who take part in the Ironman 70.3 in Zell am See every year, appreciate the Seespitz as a starting area for the swimming distance. Surfers and stand-up paddlers meet at the Windsurf Center Zell am See, which is located directly next to the lido. There you can rent the right equipment and learn in courses how to glide stylishly over the water of the Zell am See lake!
Within walking distance to the old town, the pedestrian zone, the most beautiful hotels and the nearest parking lots, the lido Zell am See is located on the shore of one of the most beautiful lakes in the Salzburger Land. Real water rats will find everything they need for a great day at the lake in the lido Zell am See. You can chill out on the comfortable sunbathing lawn, while the more daring can plunge from the five-metre high diving tower into the water of the Zell am See lake. Directly on the esplanade, the beach club Zell am See opens its doors and provides refreshing drinks and tasty snacks. In the adventure pool a giant slide, several waterfall showers and a water mushroom are waiting for young and old. The little ones are looking forward to the toddlers' pool, while the older ones compete with water-skis, with the fun tyres or on the banana!
